Four Mile Rock
“A good listener is not only popular everywhere, but after a while he gets to know something.” – Wilson Mizner

Four Mile Rock. Almost too easy to find.
The Polish guy from Ontonagon informed me of this spot, called Four Mile Rock. Pretty much just a local exploit… not something you’ll want to make a big trip out of. We ended up driving down an old railroad grade trying to find the beach because we found it much too easily and assumed we couldn’t have found it yet… (we includes my friend G and myself). Light was beginning to fade, but up the shoreline in both directions there were red shale cliffs. Kinda neat. I could see a lot more from out in the water, and the sunset was looking absolutely amazing. We had another beach to go find, so this was a very short stop. A beach worth noting, but not something I’d place on the Lake Superior Circle Tour. Here is the location on a map!

Four Mile Rock. Golden Hour. Yes.
I like the Golden Hour mention
How long did it take you to visit all 63 beaches? (When did you do it/ over what span of time?)
It took about a month and a half – just because I had other things to do as well. The number of days I spent going to the beaches was much less than that. Beaches in the Keweenaw area I was able to go to in the late afternoons since I was in Houghton for the summer.
