Hot Pond Beach
Hot Pond Beach is just North of Shiras Park (see my last post), and just South of the Presque Isle Power Plant. The power plant is probably the reason for the name “Hot Pond Beach.” It’s a very small beach with nice sand, but why anyone would go there when Shiras Park is less than 1/4 mile away???? The view of the coal dock is pretty neat though. I’m fascinated by loading docks.
