Sand Point 2
There is nothing more difficult for the human to understand than the silence of God – when God does not act… when we are amidst despair and desolation and God does not show up and act in the way we think He should.
South side of Sand Point
As I mentioned in post 45, there is a beach on the South end of Sand Point. This beach actually faces West, and the sun probably sets over Grand Island or perhaps over Christmas. This beach is just before the end of Sand Point Road – here is a map. The beach is flat, sandy, and big. Definitely a good day trip beach. The bay at Munising is really nice – South Bay I believe. I am sure Grand Island has a nice beach or two, but it was not on my route. Perhaps some day I will take the ferry over to see the island. Here is the shoreline viewer.
